The manufacture
A story of precision and passion
MONTREMO was founded in La Chaux-de-Fonds in 1954 by Ernest Morf, an industrialist with a creative and inventive spirit. The name MONTREMO comes from his initials “E.Mo”, in memory of its founder. The word “Montre” (French for “watch”) was added to define the field.
In the beginning, MONTREMO diversified its production with “watch glass”, “dial” and “small clock” departments. Very quickly, it refocused to devote itself entirely to the manufacture of watch dials for the watch industry.
Sold by the Morf family in 2000, MONTREMO developed and expanded under the leadership of Mr Giuseppe Carrubba. It became the manufacture we know today: a dial manufacture that fully masters the production process.
MONTREMO has remained an independent family company, firmly rooted in La Chaux-de-Fonds. It has no financial ties to any watch brand or group. It is managed by the Carrubba family.
